You should report this website to PETA maybe they could do an immediate posting- doesnt hurt to try. Also if this is in your area call/email or both- the news/radio stations- and express your concern with them-sometimes people just know whats goin on,also post on Craigslist in the forums, and wanted sections- look for all areas that would apply-even the community posting section! It will take some effort on your part- but I am sure the speech challenged in this situation appreciate it & need more people like you to actually care! GL- ; )

I WOULD ALSO POST IN INDIANA as well as MISSOURI-craigslist- it is an amazing resource tool ; )

I'm a bit confused about this posting. If you go on petfinder, the rescue only list 6 animals. Is it just that the rescue doesn't have the resources even to list their animals?

If so, we need to mobilize volunteers to get down there and get pictures. People will foster and adopt, rescues will take dogs, but we need to get pictures.

If someone can do that, start posting on craiglist, send the story to the media, and action will be taken. Paws Chicago has weekend radio and TV spots and might be able to help you.

Contact your local tv stations. If they have a website, which most , if not all do these days, there should be a contact us link with emails and phone numbers. Since this is so close to happening I would call rather than email. Hope that helps! And I hope those poor dogs get rescued! Good luck and best wishes!

I don't know how to get the media attention but I did post it on chicago and south chicago craigslist.

And I starred it, of course!

    Thanks.

PS - Oh and Danny. When you're in the pet section, you'll find people caring about...well, pets. It doesn't mean we don't care about people. It's not an either/or question.

If you want to talk about flood victims, go to umm a flood victim forum...

I applaud your compassion for the pets that were left with the short end of the stick , but I think your charitable efforts could be better focused on the PEOPLE who have been ravaged by the flood disaster.

I've had many pets that I loved in my life , but I would rather see CHILDREN taken care of before any animal.

I would also refer you to the answer that "Sonbear" offered.

PETA kills many more animals than they save!

I just love how I get "thumbs down" for this...who are these people that would rather see a child die than a pet?

I am a dachshund enthusiast. If there are any dachshunds in the list, I'll try to save one or two. Email me on how to find out.

Hey "people person". Why don't you go read your bible about the woman that put ointment on Jesus' feet rather than selling it to help the poor? It is sickening to see people who do good deeds complained about that the deeds they do are not "good enough". The poor are ever with us. This person is interested in dogs and if that is not good enough for you then YOU go help people!

Have you tried contacting local rescue groups? If you go to petfinder.com you can get a list of rescues in your area. This is the list I got http://www.petfinder.com/awo/index.cgi?location=be...

I would also try posting on craigslist.
