I hope you're able to distinguish between the people who did this and all of Islam. If you'd ask most Muslims they'd be horrified that such a thing happened, so don't even try to paint this as somehow proving anything about all of Islam. Edit: You think all Muslims are to blame for this? You do know that in the Western legal tradition people are responsible for their own actions, not the actions others? Are you saying we should throw that venerable principle out of the door? Those who commit crimes should be punished. Those who did not commit a crime should not. Edit 2: And here we see how easily group-to-group hostility is awakened. It's so sad because the casualty is intellectual honesty. Suddenly Islam is evil because a few guys with a radical interpretation killed people, yet nobody's willing to say the same about, say, nationalism when radical nationalists kill people. Edit: @Agnostic - So now the mere company you keep suffices to damn you? What kind of nazi-trial is this? Guilt-by-association is unprincipled, undemocratic and unjust. I mean, suppose the killers had been agnostics. Would that mean that your mere association with them as also an agnostic would mean you're also to blame? I hope you realize the answer is no. While this is of course a tragedy and steps should be taken to ensure it doesn't happen again, over-moralization awakens ugly facets of human nature, namely the death of internal consistency, the essentialization of a group into a monolithic whole and the demonization of entire groups of people simply for being in the same group with the perpetrators and no other association with them.

questions are there to be answered, no matter if the question is only for girls or boys. Sometimes girls can answer only-for-boys-questions better than boys.
