No one knows if there is life or anything after death...

no one can say if there is hell or heaven or if one is reborn or so...

and again even if exists, surely it will not be a different one for christians and for hindus..

if rebirth is true then it will happen for all...no one can come out of the cluthes of karma..if all what i believe is true..!!!

The true answer is, no one knows. (Ignore the apparently arrogant Christian answerers that said you HAD to accept Christ blah blah...they don't know either.) My take has always been this: If you, your husband, and your son have all held a belief in a higher power (be it God, Allah, etc.) and have been kind, caring, overall good people in life then if there is a heaven or some form of place for the soul in an afterlife I see no reason logically why you all wouldn't see each other again. Many try to argue which religion is "right" or which one will lead you to heaven or what have you, but as I said above: no one truly knows if any religion is right at all. My take has always been that no one religion is more right than another. The different religions are more like different paths that a person can choose to take to get to their ultimate goal: heaven (I'm unfamiliar with what this may be called in other religions, so pardon that. I think you know what I mean however.) I wouldn't worry about you and your husband's differing religious beliefs. Just focus on making sure you are all decent, moral members of society. That, in my opinion, is the best thing you can do to ensure you will all indeed see each other after death.

As a Christian we believe only those who have claimed Jesus will share in life everlasting life. Also those that died during the time of sacrifice are also there, but we are speaking of today.

This is why people should not be "unequally yoked." Jesus did not tell people this to be mean. He was helping people avoid your dilemma. Life is hard enough without such problems.

Now let me ask you some questions. These are for you only I am not passing judgment. Is your Husband a good man? Can you see something in his life that is not in yours? Could that be God? How can you love, respect, honor and live with a man you believe to be wrong? If he is not wrong why are you not with him so that your joy may be complete.

May you find the answers to your questions.

How can your son be a Hindu? It is morally and legally decided as a Christian when the husband is a christian.

Secondly, all of you met already in previous births and again met here now and you will be meeting again in next birth, since you believe the after-death scenario.

Thirdly, since Death is a certainity for all the living, you all will surely meet there before departing to hell or heaven depending upon what you have done on Earth.

Nonbelievers in Islam are able to go to Heaven through good deeds as well since we are all Allah's creation.

I can't speak for Christianity, though I'm assuming it's about the same as well.

Well, it's logically impossible for you both of you to be right, so one of you must be wrong.

I'm wondering why a christian man married a hindu woman and agreed to have his children be raised hindu... he must not be very devout.

What does your hindu faith teach you? Christians believe Jesus Christ is the way to Heaven.

The way that I understand the scriptures is that your husband as a christian will be taken up in the following verses.

    1Thes 4:15-17

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

    (KJV)

Then as a non believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ, you and your son will be included with the ones that stand before the great white throne in verse 12, then again in verse 15 of the following passages.

    Rev 20:1-15

1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

    (KJV)

Only if you choose to accept Christ as your Savior. I don't say this in arrogance, but in the promise God gave us through the Bible. If there is only one bridge to heaven, do you take that path, or do you complain that there is only one way?

Of course you do, what God worthy of worship would keep

    you apart, and why?
