I need to read a book for my english class but my teacher wants the author to be british. Were in British literature right now. I read a lot of book like twilight and nick and norah's infinite playlist [I love this two book and i cant wait to see the movie]. Any good suggestion?I need a good one..thanks

If you like romantic stories, you'll probably like Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice.
Austin's story has captured readers for many many years and teen girls still discover her. You'll need to read the book, but there are a couple of great TV adaptations that will whet your appetite: the A&E is always the top favorite, but is long. The one a few years ago with Keira Knightly is also good.
I think once you get into the book, you'll enjoy it.
