what is your theme??? If you have one......it might be easier to do this. I love coming up with ideas for favors and stuff like this! I would love to help or heck even make them for you!! Im doing a gone fishing theme for mine (its cute not dumb) and I bought little white buckets that you find as a favors for a garden theme and im putting the goldfish crackers and sweedish fish in them and covering them in pink tulle with the our name and date with the words "hooked on love" I love it and its going to be really inexpensive for us. let me know some details and I will try to help you more!

I like favors that can be eatten. Hershey has kisses you can order with the little tag that says "Just Married". They are pretty cute. M&M will let you pick the colors you want to match your wedding and you can get them personalized as well.
Pear and Peony has some great ideas like flower seeds, tea leaves, candy, and a few really unique ideas as well

Why do you have to have wedding favors? Keep it simple. If you want something then how about buying those M&M's with your name and/or date, putting them in a little container for each person at the tables. The container could be a piece of cloth of your wedding color, tied with a ribbon of the other color, etc.

I'm doing chocolate kisses wrapped in tulle and a bow in my wedding colors. Trust me, the best favors are the ones you can eat. Nobody uses the candles, birdseeds, potpourri, or the other what-nots people give out.

The best favors are ones that are useful or edible, not just cutesy dust collectors. That said, chocolates or candies are always appreciated; mini picture frames are not very practical (people rarely go through the hassle of fitting a picture into them), candles generally tend to just sit on shelves unburned, and those awful potpourri sachets are definitely out. Think of favors you wouldn't mind receiving, and be mindful that men do not generally appreciate the same trinkets women might. (But everyone loves candy!).
Also, you might want to base your favors on your theme or color scheme. You can get personalized m&ms in any color of your choice. Or you can make your own CDs and give those out. Some people have given out packets of flower seeds and little flower pots with cute tags that say "sowing the seeds of love" with their name/date. Just be creative!

Sounds like you guy's aren't too concerned about any fancy smanshy stuff.
How about those cool chocolate bars that say something nice and have your names and the date of your wedding along with a nice picture of you two?
It's a cool keepsake or a yummy edible one!
Either way, hope you find something your both happy with. Good Luck and Congrats!

A lot of people don't bother with favors, since they end up in the trash, anyway, and are a waste of money. I didn't do favors.

Candles? M&M's or Jelly beans in your wedding colors? Cookies? Depends on what you are going for & what your budegt in. You can go as extravagant as personalized golf balls or shot glasses or a simple & small as a burnt CD of your wedding songs.

we did tiny tea cup candles, and tea bags that say our name and date on them. They are cute. You can find them at americanbridal.com or any bridal website.
Good luck
