Mostly the native Americans did not call it anything as they did not consider land as something that could be owned by anyone. They would call it their hunting grounds, or tribal lands, but not a specific name. According to the National Library of Congress, the name America was first used by some German monks in about 1509. It ment the area to the north of Cuba.

The native Americans did not visualize continents and the world as we do today. Someone coming from across the ocean was something that they never thought to be possible. That is why there was little resistance to the white infiltration of their homes at first. The natives felt that there were very few of these people so just ignore them or kill them off (as in other smaller warring tribes) and the problem is solved. Since thet had no concept of other continents, the United States was "The land of 1000 rivers" or the "land of blue mountains" etc. based on local topography.

    Hope this helps.

I think someone said that the Jamestown settlers found indian drawings that referred to North America as "El Lando Big Pimpin wit no Whiteys." Of course those drawings were destroyed in ignorance and now all we have is folklore.
