Can someone explain how the Democrats are the party of the people?

Seriously how can you claim to be the party of the people who cares about the voters and then not count Michigan or Florida and on top of that you pull off some 200 election crap in Texas by giving Obama the Delegate lead while Clinton won the popular vote. What gives is this just more of the same from the hypocritical looney left?

Update 2:

A lot of people have stated opinions about Florida and Michigan but won't touch the Texas deal, this tells me that they cannot explain it and for those that say Texas has worked fine for twenty years why is State Rep. Norma Chavez of El Paso filing suit against the El Paso Democratic Party because they had more Clinton Delegates then Obama, Also Florida ran the same risk from the Republican Party about losing delegates when they decided to move up their primary anyway. Oh and as for Michigans Legislature being controled by Republicans it isn't. Democrats hold the State House 58 to 52 while Republicans hold the Senate 21 to 17, Check your facts.

You won't get any honest responses from the Democrats. They are all hypocrites and they know it. They whine that every vote should count and then don't count all the votes.

If Obama gets the nomination he will have stolen it outright. But that's nothing new. He is a crooked politician and is used to breaking the rules.

Obama was not even on the ballot in Florida. Many voters knew these votes would not count and failed to show up to vote as they were assuming the votes would not count. I think they should have a chance to vote, but the only fair way would be to hold a re-vote. When the Dem party told those states their elections would not count, those states should have made sure that the people in their states actually had a vote. It's the fault of the state parties who insisted on moving their primaries forward in time in order to be 'more important'. Do you not get this??

Turn it around...if this happened to the republican party, what would be fair? I agree that it doesn't seem fair to have 2 whole states not voting, but at the same time, it would not be fair to simply now count those votes. The solution lies in a do over, but it sounds like the MI and FL democratic parties don't have enough money to do a do over. It's their own fault.

edit: Well...I thought someone answered your Texas question. They have 2 separate systems in TX. They have the vote and they have caucuses. Get it? TWO things...so Barack won the caucus, and got those delegates..Hillary won the popular vote, and got those. If you have a problem with itk you should move to TX and join the Dem party to change things. Otherwise, why do you care? Isn't your party the one trying to throw the dem party into 'chaos'? How responsible.

Because they are the party who have done the most for the common citizen! Whereas the republicans have ONLY done what is best for the wealthiest citizens!

Take the issue of unions for instance.............Back in the 1930s when unions first started it was the democrats who supported them................Who stuck the first fatal blow to the unions? The republicans God Ronnie Reagan by firing the air traffic controllers!Since then the unions have steadily lost political influence............to the point where they are almost impotent today!Guess why hourly wage earners get overtime pay for more then 40 hours per work............unions!Guess why the were strict safety laws to protect workers............Unions!

Now explain why republicans are against the common citizen they have done NOTHING to help them!

Why, Tip, if you honestly want to know, it is your Republican friends in the Florida State House who f'ed up the right of their fellow Floridians to vote in the primaries by moving up the date of said primaries. Together with their Republican (oh, and I do so enjoy pointing this out to our inquisitive young friend) now, where was I? Oh, yeah, REPUBLICAN governor, one Mr. Crist.

Secondly, the Texas system has been working just fine for the last 20 years with or without your help. Oddly enough. And those are the rules, just like the caucus rules.

Hey, btw, remember when dubya lost the popular vote AND the electoral college and STILL siezed power in 2000? Yeah, thought you might. Well, that is why the Dems are the party of the people. Cause we don't do that crap.

    Oh, and one more thing:

President-Elect Barack Obama, get used to the sound of that sweet, sweet name! Now squirm. Squirm for the next four years.

This country has been designed by democratic leaders to give a greater chance to elect minorities by skipping the majority to better represent the minorities. Minorities are shown favoritism and their vote counts more than your does. The most qualified don't get the jobs and our government directs the balance as they want them to be. If all men were created equal I would have the same pull as Al Sharpton or Jessie Jackson.

Well let's see... both of those state legislatures that moved the voting dates up before the earliest time to vote were controlled by Republicans. The DNC warned these states that moving the elections up to these dates would violate long-existing policies on Democratic primaries, and the Republican state legislatures did it anyway. To retroactively count these elections would be ridiculous as they were skewed by not having all major candidates, as well as much lower turnouts because many voters knew the elections were meaningless. Nice try though

This is the reason why education is so IMPORTANT.

You don't bother checking the facts, you don't bother doing the research. You just make **** up as you go and flame a person, a group, or a party--because you have nothing left but baseless rhetoric.

So sad that this is the emerging face of our country these days.

They are always happy to bend the rules whenever it suits their twisted purposes to do so. They are still whining about the 2000 vote count in Florida, even though every liberal-rag newspaper in the country ran down there as fast as they could to do their own recounts. None of them came up with any results different from the state's own recounts. How can you tell? Because they would have shouted it from the highest mountain tops for everyone to hear. They were all mysteriously silent after finishing their recounts.

I don't think either party is a party of the people. The people doesn't have a party. We're all just working citizens trying to make ends meet.

Look you just do not understand. If the Democrats say it, it is true. Now if you do not believe that, you must be some insane religious right winger!
