Are there any artists out there who think anime is a dime-a-dozen style?

I do. Who else does?

No, not necessarily. It depends on who is drawing it. You can make an anime style drawing/painting more better then, for example, a surrealism drawing/painting; you just need to put effort into it. Its all in the details. You need to put A LOT of shading and details (e.g.: cross-hatching, stippling, etc) in anime/manga style artwork. Most shounen (anime that is usually intended for the male gender to watch) have complex outfits that take a long time to draw. And don't forget that manga-kas (Japanese graphic novel artists/authors) have to memorize the characters. They can't forget one detail. Other types of art are usually about the strokes, lines, depth, etc. And of course, it wouldn't cost so much if the anime artist didn't put any details or effort to it...you can make anime style drawing just as good as any other type of art.

    I HATE ANIME!

I used to be cool then everybody got into it, and now there is SO much junk out there, you can't sift through the garbage.
