Is this normal??

I'm pregnant and experiencing weird symptoms. At roughly 8 weeks am I supposed to be constipated? Also, does the pregnancy have anything to do with my weird dreams that I have been experiencing?

Not weird symptoms at all actually. Constipation can be very bothersome throughout pregnancy. Increase your water intake and your fiber intake to 25 grams per day. That will help you control that naturally.

As for crazy dreams... yep they happen all the time too. Last night I had a dream there was a talking baby pigmy goat in the backseat of my car equipped with GPS telling me how to get to where the baby was ..... very strange dreams are also part of pregnancy I'm afraid ;)

yes you can be constipated through out your pregnancy ask your dr to give a prenatal vitamin with a stool softner in it, or ask him what is safe for you and baby to have to help this. drink extra water, the baby is taking away from you so you need to add a couple more glasses of water to your diet.

And yes you do have weird dreams while pregnant. With the change of hormones and with your body it can cause you to dream some pretty crazy stuff.

Yes, unfortunetly, constipation is common during pregnancy... Just try to go when you can, drink lots of water, and also try to get extra fiber.

The weird dreams are also common during pregnancy. Some people say it's from the anxiety, some think it's from all of the extra hormones.

Oh yes..I experienced the same thing when pregnant. Lots of water and over the counter colace. The pharmacist can help you if you have any questions. Weird dreams are normal. Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

Your hormones as well as vitamins and iron supplements may cause constipation (difficulty passing stool or incomplete or infrequent passage of hard stools). Pressure on your rectum from your uterus may also cause constipation.

    Recommendations:

    1. Add more fiber (such as whole grain foods, fresh fruits, and vegetables) to your diet.

    2. Drink plenty of fluids daily (at least 6-8 glasses of water and 1-2 glasses of fruit or prune juice).

    3. Drink warm liquids, especially in the morning.

    4. Exercise daily.

    5. Set a regular time for bowel movements; avoid straining when having a bowel movement.

    6. Discuss the use of a laxative with your doctor; they may recommend natural fiber laxatives or stool softeners.

most pregnant woman experience constipation it is completely normal! Just drink lots of fluids, orange juice is good, or eat prunes, this can help.

It is also normal to have weird dreams, its mostly just the anxiety of becoming a parent!

Yes constipation is most likely due to the prenatal vitamins your taking...increase your water and fiber intake...and get some colace to help soften!
