Painful sex at 30 weeks pregnant?

I was never told to not have sex while pregnant...so don't listen to those other people. If your doctor has told you not to, then don't, but otherwise, it's ok. I'm 27 1/2 weeks pregnant and I have recently noticed alot of cramping while we make love. This is my 3rd child and didn't remember this from my other 2 pregnancies. I think it's a braxton hicks contraction. I know after I have a orgasm, it happens again. Does your belly get hard? Mine does. If it gets to uncomfortable, you may need to stop until you talk with your doctor.

My doctor said with both kids to stop having sex around 30-32 weeks. However...I did it anyway and found myself to be in the same pain. I'm not sure EXACTLY what it is...but i know it hurts and my doctor said it wasn't good for baby.

It is totally normal to have sex while your pregnant. My doctor even suggested it to help my daughter come down, i had bad cramps when i was like 34 weeks come to find out i had a bladder infection. Just check with your doctor. Until then i wouldnt continue to have sex. especially in "THOSE POSITIONS"! Try something by laying on your side while your back is facing him. Might be better.

I get that too, I'm 34 weeks, and it feels like there is immense pressure just below my belly, not sure if it's the babys weight or the way it's positioned...but it is almost like a cramping feeling, and I actually have to stop the deed.

The only way to know is to ask the doc. 30 weeks and you're embarrassed to ask the doc something? You better get over that quick, because when delivery time comes, you're gonna have to check your modesty at the door. Everyone and their dog is going to be coming in taking a look at your business. You're gonna be so busy you won't care who sees it either. ASK THE DOCTOR!!!!! P.S. Try a position where he doesn't go so deep, or ask him to try to not go so deep. Your cervix is probably lower and he may be bumping it.
