If you found money....?

if it was just money laying there, then yes. If it was a wallet or bank bag, I would definately give it back. I believe in Karma.

In my state (michigan) you can be arrested if you find money and do not return it to the rightful owner, or the nearest place to where you found it.

A university student found a ziploc bag of 10's that equaled $100 outside a walmart in the parking lot. Well, he took the money and went home, and a little boy had dropped it before christmas shopping for his family, and he told his parents he lost the money, so they contacted the store, who had it on camera, got the license plate of the man who took it, and they came to his dorm and arrested him. :( Sad story.

I would return it to the owner, for fear of being arrested like him, but also because it is the right thing to do.

Return the money if you can find the owner. If you just happen to find a five dollar bill blowing in the wind and you don't know who dropped it, keep it.

If it is possible to find the rightful owner of the money, I would return it. Otherwise, it is stealing.

I'd return it. Might even get a reward out of it....or maybe not. But knowing I did the right thing would be worth more to me.

Return it. I believe that life is cyclical -- the good you do comes back to you -- ten-fold. And that's true with the bad you do as well.
