you heard it here first?

its common knowledge that the Dolphins are looking at either Chris Long or Vernon Gholston at number one. They already have Jason Taylor and Joey Porter at the OLB position. Through free agency they have filled the defensive line with randy starks who will play end and Jason Furgeson to play the nose. They brought Josh McKown in to start this year while they see what John Beck is made of. The one position they didn't address is offensive tackle. Jake Long is hardly worth the number one spot or the money that goes with it and the Dolphins won't be able to trade out of their spot with the teams going after Darren McFadden knowing he's safe to at least the fourth spot. Point number two, the Jason Taylor trade requests. He doesn't want to be part of another rebuilding in Miami, so he wants to go to a win now team, enter the Vikings. On draft day there will be a straight trade Jason Taylor for Bryan McKinnie. Vernon Gholston to Miami, Chris Williams to Minnesota. Wait and you'll see!

Update:

Okay first of all JERRY PORTER went to the Jags!!!! He is a wide receiver from the Raiders. Secondly Jake Long is graded lower than Joe Thomas and is closer to Levi Brown who was a reach at number five. Pat Kirwan agrees with me that Vernon Gholston is too intriguing to pass up if you're Miami. The Vikings do have a good chance to win in the next two years provided they get a good pass rush (Jason Taylor), and a solid qb to throw to Berrian Rice and Wade. Joe Flacco and Chad Henne will both be available in the second round.

Are you serious? How is Jake Long not worth the number 1 pick? He will hold up the offensive line for a decade. Just look at Joe Thomas last year and how much he made a difference to the whole Cleveland Brown's offense.

If Taylor wants to "win now", Minnesota is NOT where its going to happen. I'm not saying these teams would be interested in him, but if he wants out and wants a ring, he's looking at last years playoff teams or possibly Cleveland or maybe even New Orleans who has enough offense to make the playoffs. Minnesota still isn't consistent enough on offense to get to even the NFC championship.

I do agree Gholston could be a dark hose to go #1. I said DARK HORSE. But Jake Long is a monster and if their line is as bad as everyone says it is, he's probably the answer.
