At hockey I play goalie and im pretty much good at stopping everything except when the puck goes to my blocker side i have trouble reaching over there quick. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make my blocker side quick

Have someone stand near you and throw pucks at you towards and above your blocker. One right after another, each time making sure you get set into a normal position just before the next throw!
The reason I said throw, as they can be more accurate to where you need the puck to be to receive the most benefit from the drill!

There are many reasons why your blocker side may be slow. Try to build up your arm strength to make it quicker. You can do this by working out of even using a weighted arm band in practice. Another problem may be your stance. Try to have someone examine your stance throughout practice as you get more tired. Have them look for if your arm is dropping, leaving a larger hole, or, if you turn your body to your blocker side when you make a save, which will make your body not square to the shot leaving more open net. Once you can get to pucks on your blocker side, work on rebound control and angling while keeping your body still square. Remember that giving off a safe controlled rebound is just as important as the initial save.

Yeah, play up in the crease, so you dont have to reach as far when a puck comes that way. But if you think about it to much because blockers always give rebounds so get back to cover the rest of the net.

I train soccer goalies, and am not a big fan of hockey, but if a everyone has their weak spots. I suggest you get a coach or an adult out there and have them just shoot pucks to your week side trying to improve it. Part of blocking things also come down to reflexes. There are great reflex balls you can get that you throw off a wall and they bounce in unknown directions.These are made for baseball players, but they work great with my soccer goalies! If you can get out and practice everyday, that will make you that much better!

I had the same problem. Just practice using your blocker. Put your glove hand behind your back in practice, and just start using your blocker more. Watch the puck into your blocker...

Use your blocker, not your glove.
Seriously, practice is your best bet. Got to open hockey at your rink and ask somebody to help you work on your blocker.
