Secondly, it's fine to respectfully say the flaws that you believe your country has. It's when people say it hatefully that I have a problem with, or when people say they're not proud of America based on the past 8 years. News flash, America has been a country for over 200 years. A mere 8 years seems to be a horrible way to determine where your pride lays.

Lives in a $1.6M dollar home

Makes over $325,000 a year.

How can she be a bitter person? How can she feel American is a mean country?

I am very proud of Michelle. I think she will make a great first lady. If you ask a lot of minorities this question, I don't think they are not proud of America either. White America has been mean to minorities especially African Americans.

Oh yeah...is it because she got a $200,000 a year raise from a non-profit hospital AFTER Obama was elected to the US Senate....making her salary $342,000? Is that why she is proud for the first time in her adult life??

IF, A BIG "IF", Obama becomes president there should be a shack built outside the White House for Michelle to reside. She isn't refined enough to be in the White House.

Michelle Obama does not hate America. She said that she was REALLY proud of America for the first time, for coming together for change! I agree with her and welcome her in the White House.

I would be honored to have Michelle Obama as our First Lady.

Have you listened to her speak for an entire hour or simply jumped on the spin band wagon with the rest of the mindless followers after hearing that one line?

I'm sad to say but the "hate" is coming from us not from her.

Hopefully, when her husband becomes our new and best President you will see the how wrong you are.

I will be so happy for my four daughters to have an intelligent and eloquent first lady in their lives. Laura is gracious, sweet and loyal but not much of a role model for girls of today. She fits right in with the ideal Republican First lady: Look good, agree with whatever your husband says, talk very little.

Michelle obviously loves her country so much she is willing to spend precious time away from her daughters, whom she has clearly dedicated her life to, to help set America back on course. I am as patriotic as they come but I would not be willing to spend time away from my kids for all of you, sorry.

Again, I would be honored to have her represent our country as First lady! If only we could be so fortunate.

She is truly a gem.
