One women in three will be a victime of a sexual assault. Is this statistic accurate?

I think that if you refine the definition of 'sexual assault' you'd find that it's more than 1 in 3, perhaps more like 2 in 3.

More women than not still do not report it, or don't recognize it as assault. Many people, including the victims, don't recognize sexual assault inside marriage or live-in relationships!

Perhaps you are looking for a national average statistic. There is a huge difference in the statistic depending on where you are. In the urban slums it is very bad. Where I live, 2 in 10 would more accurate.

Um, yeah that's a true statistic. I learned it in Sex Education class in college. Also, the above answerer is dumb. It's probably, actually more like 1 in 2, because most women are too embarrassed or ashamed to admit to being sexually assaulted, or are confused about what constitutes sexual assault.

Well, 2 of my friends have nevere been sexually assaulted, but i have. So that is one in three right? So yeah, it does unfortunately seem to be an accurate staistic.

One in three women will be or will lie about being sexually assualted. half of those will be false accusations or positions they put themselves in it, but don't want to it admit it so blame it on the guy
