Maybe, get a leather or chain collar so fleas cant invade it or rinse wateva collar you have in hot water to kill fleas. Or get a flea collar and use front line a flea control medicine

Flea collars do not work well. The chemical does not spread effectively all over the dog. Get Frontline or Advantix if you have a problem. My dog never had fleas in Idaho, but not that we live in a warm wet climate it is terrible. the fleas acutally spend most of their lifecycle off of the dog. The live in carpets, bedding. cracks and crevices and in soil. You need to wash the bedding, vaccum and treat the rugs. If that does not cure it, then you need to consider treating the backyard. Frontline will interrupt the life cycle, so flea populations in the home will decrease, as well as on the dog.

Yes fleas can nest in dog's collars. You need to get her a new collar after you have talked to your vet about a flea treatment and the fleas is cured. Then once her flea is cured replace it as often as it does not fit! I hope this helps!

do not buy no flea collor so point less and can even leave rashes to your dog
but buy flea line some3thing like that at a vet place it cot 20-30 bucks but its worth it because it really works and last about month and it comes with 3 things so thats 3 months for only 30 bucks
do flea bath first then use it i believe one of the best things on the market to
oops the product is called frontline as it just came to my head lol

yes.you need to get a flea treatment for your dog and scrub her.also wash her bed and spray any where else she's likely to lie[couch, mats],then get her a new flea collar. change every 30 days but some collars last longer so read the packet it comes in to be sure.

What I do after my dog goes for a walk off leash (don't worry, it's at a off-leash hiking area for dogs) is take her collar off and check for ticks, fleas..etc. So, no ticks get into her collar. I also do that every so often. Even with Frontline, ticks still get on her (but die when go into her skin).

Yes. Get a few a year. And don't make them so tight. Did you know Eucalyptus is a natural flea repelent? I make a soup of it and put it in squirt bottles and lay branches around my dogs house. It helps!

they nest in the dog. first of all i would get him dip you can buy it from the vet and wash him over with it. then you buy on line (carealot.com) frontlineplus and that is best on the market you have to put it between the shoulders every month but its best and does work. spray your yard and keep house sprayed and it does work i have done it no bugs of this kind take care.
