Deranged Dogs?
Our Lab boxer crossed, now deceased, was deranged. He was a rescue dog, and he'd been abused, rehomed three times before we took him. So we let him get away with barking growling and trying to bite people, he was just being protective of us. We were lucky that he never actually bit anyone, but some people he seemed to hate more than others. Has anyone else had a similar dog and how did you deal with it?

I have one that is mentally broken due to abuse. We just work with her and train her and retrain her and retrain her. Other than that we just have to try and protect both her and the general public.

Most dogs can be trained at any age. Some need only go to a puppy or beginner dog training class. Other dogs need a dog behaviorist. There are a few dogs that have been so messed with by humans that they are beyond helping or they have some medical reason for their dangerous behavior.

We had a dog that hated and I mean hated men. It took us many years to help him get over it.
