Urge to push.?

Let's start with this. I'm not pregnant but I have the weirdest urge to push. I have one child who is 5 and was born by c-section and I didnt push at all, although I did go into labor. My boyfriend and I are trying for another. It's the weirdest feeling I've ever had.....I could be at work, my mothers, at home or the store and I will feel like I need to push. Is there any possibility that the trying has kicked in my maternal instinct to push? I just find it odd that I feel like I should push. I'm hoping someone could give me insight? Maybe someone else has felt this way?

Not really the uterus contracts even when we aren't pregnant. That could be the urge you are feeling being as thought you were pregnant b4. You could be shedding the lining of your uterus also and that will make you want to push.

I've herd of hystrical pregnancy but i think that you would have "thought" you were pregnant and not want to push but want to keep the baby inside you. And those people DO go into active labor and i know you remember that feeling. THat is more mental than maternal and i dont think that is you.

Head out to your ob and get checked.

Baby dust and best wishes to you

When wa the last time you had an exam? I wonder if there could be something on your cervix or something causing this feeling. I sometimes get that feeling during my period, usually caused by a clot of blood (sorry-too much info). Could it be that??? ...just a thought... I'm not really sure what else could be causing that. It doesn't make sense for itto be maternal instinct kicking in. Hmmm....
