Has anyone ever entered the contest on here,and then you get the letter it published in a book if you buy the book your poem is on the front page.You have to pay for the book $50.00,and then you really never get anything out of it.It cost you for everything and it's your work.
I actually did of course i used a fake name and a po box and wrote a poem about what a scam it was and actually got a letter saying it was entered into the final.

Ahh yes, good ol poetry.com! Well as for the site goes it's pretty cool and allows you to read alott of unknown poets many of them very good, but more so many bad! They will in fact publish your poem but make you pay for the book. You are not obligated to buy and to my knowledge they still do publish it, though I cannot be certain of this as I never bought a book! It is a money making scheme so do not be fooled! But still it has it's benefits!

poetry.com is about the biggest poetry scam going. many of us found out the hard way. they will publish anything, and i mean anything. sure, you may be a good poet and your poem may worthy of being published; however, if you want to try an experiment - send them a really bad poem and see what happens. whatever you do, don't sign anything and don't send any money.
