    Discount would be 350 * 0.15 = 52.50

    The selling price would then be 350 - 52.50 = 297.50

    Television Discount

the discount is $52.50. the price therefore would be $297.50.

the first thing you do is turn the percent into a decimal. 15% as a decimal would be .15. then you multiply .15 times 350. the number you get is 52.50 which is the discount. then you subtract 52.50 from 350.00 which gives you the selling price of 297.50

    first work out 10% of 350 = 35

    and then work out 5% of 350 (half of 35) = 17.50

then add them together= 52.50 (thats the discount)

to find the selling price simply take the discount from the marked price = 297.50

    hope this helped

    xx

    Starting Price= $350

    Discount of 15% = 350 x .15 = 52.50

    Selling Price = 350 - 52.50 = 297.50

Multiply $350 by .85, that is the selling price. Multoply $350 by .15, that is the discount.

look .. originally it is for $350

we subtract the discount from the original price to get the selling price

    the discount is 15% .. which means, we subtract $15 from each $100 ... and because we have 3.5 hundred dollars .. we subtract 3.5 * 15 >> or simply 350 * 0.15

    (350 * 0.15) = 52.5 << the discount

    350 - 52.5 = 297.5 << the selling price

    15% of 350 = .15 x 350 = 52.50

    Selling price: 350 - 52.50 = 297.50 plus tax.

    Reasoning: x% of d =n

    Therefore, x/100=n/d then 15/100 = n/350

    Nice, eh!

the television expenses $350 and is discounted 15%, first to discover the decrease cost cost take 350 x 0.15 = fifty two.50(decrease cost cost) , now take that and subtract it from 350 (350-fifty two.50=297.50(the merchandising cost)

    350 - 15% = 297.50 selling price

    350 - 297.50 = 52.50 discount
