Can 16 year old go into an R-rated movie?

It really depends on how old you look. When I was 15 I could get into R rated movies without them asking me for ID! Also it kind of depends on where you live...some places rarely check for ID as long as you look resonably of age to watch it while others check everyone except like old people. I would say buy the ticket online or have the friend buy it...

Just a word of warning since everyone else pretty much said that if your friend buys the ticket, then you'll be fine. I look really young, so when I was 17 (and sometimes when I was 18), I would get my ID checked when I bought the ticket and then AGAIN when they would rip the ticket and tell us which theater it was (sometimes even after my friends went in front of me, all who had been IDed as well). I would just wait out the 2 months.

They will most likely check your ID. I would try it though.

If you can, just go to one of those machines where you pay with a credit card and don't have to wait in line. That's how I avoided being ID'd before I was 17.

Depends on whether you like old enough or not. I never had an issue. But if you get caught you could ruin everyone else's evening.

if ur with a 17 y/o, its fine because just say that they are ur guardian or parent, even though that would mean they were 1 when they had u. but just go anyway

I think if he buys both tickets, you're fine.
