No, I do not support the Bush/ Republican War in Iraq. I DO support our troops and hope they all make it home safely. The Bush Administration mislead the American people over 900 times leading up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003. If that's not reason enough to oppose the war, then maybe the 4,000+ lives of American soldiers that have been lost or maybe the 70,000 innocent Iraqi civilians who have been killed or the BILLIONS of dollars we've spent on the war are reason enough.

Support Our Troops! Bring Them Home NOW!!

Nah, I don't support the war at all. It was waged off of false intelligence. I believe that once it broke that the reasons we went to Iraq were inaccurate we should have cleaned out the executive branch and put them trial. Five years, and 4,000 lives later we're still waging a war over false information and still trying to "win" something that can't be "won." It's not about winning and losing, if we stay till we win it will never happen.

If anything we're going to lose this war. We are no safer than when this war began, Al Qaeda is more powerful then ever, Iraq is liking the idea of siding with Iran more and more everyday, and our economy has taken a nose dive because we can't sustain 12 billion dollars a month.

So to answer your question. No, I don't this war is supportable and I think people should really start considering the facts. It's really unfortunate we're fighting over nothing. We've destabilized an entire region of the world. The middle east is not stable. If we pull out that place will collapse, then we'll see if the war was worth it or not.

I'm not against the concept of the "War on Terrorism" or going after countries who sponsor terrorism.

My problem with this "so called" war, is the way it's being conducted. The US done nothing to those countries who actually sponsor terrorism. Those who are ultimately responsible for most of the terrorism that comes out of the middle east, remain unscathed and in power.

Today wars are run more by politicians who know nothing about war and not by the commanders who understand war.

I have not supported it, and still do not.

The reason is that it is patently illegal under international law. The UN Charter only allows member nations to use force against each other when actually under attack--not merely fearful of the possibility of one--or when specifically authorized by the UN security Council, which we were not (this applies to our supposedly enforcing the terms of the cease-fire that ended Desert Storm as well)

The ramifications of launching unilateral "preemptive" war without international support are now plain to see. May we never do it again.

Nope. It will destroy America. I do not fear any terrorist dropping a bomb on my head. You have a far greater chance of dying in a car accident. 9-11 was concocted by the world elite. I know some people will get p.o.'ed at me for saying that. But wake up. Buildings don't collapse like that from plane crashes.

Oh, and for Burnside 2020 - You are a sad case, bro. War profitteering is what got us into this war, and what will sadly keep us in it. How do you sleep at night?

It is not a US war. 140,000 troops cannot wage a war or occupy a country. In general the US forces are superfluous bystanders who are the victim/observers of an Arab religious conflict. It will end when the Iraqis want it to end weather the US is there or not.

I believe war is inevitable. War keeps or ensure the peace, war changes the hands of power, and war will never cease to exist. That's how it had been since the bigining of mankind.
