Why didn't God make us look very different from all other living creatures?
Man shares so much with primates. From body structure to very close genetic make up. Why wouldn't God make us unmistakeably different from all other inhabitants of the planet? Then there would be no question we were totally unique. Why did he make us resemble highly evolved primates?
I see a few of you who deny that you resemble primates in any way. How very strange.

Good question.
edit:
It's one of the best questions that has been posted here in a long time. Not that it will make an inkling of difference. People have faith because they believe (they are very circular).
:-)
Also it's good to see that you haven't been bombarded with scripture yet. It looks like THEY may be thinking....

... Yes, you have stumped them. No one has copied and pasted from the bible.
It looks like we will have a mass desertion from the church on our hands.

You asked: "Why wouldn't God make us unmistakeably different from all other inhabitants of the planet?"
Um, we ARE unmistakeably different from all other animals. Sure, there are similarities with primates, but the differences aren't subtle. No one mistakes homo sapiens for any other animal. We are certainly unique.
"Why did he make us resemble highly evolved primates?"
Probably because we evolved from a primitive type of primate.

In August 1985 the Michigan State MUFON regional director sunk (by snuk I mean that she did not register for the festival or pay to attend) into the Pan-Pagan Festival campground to investigate me for being a “Nordic Space Alien”. The misunderstanding started when “P.U.N.Magizine” said Nordics would be at that festival. When she got there the program mentioned “Nordic”. Then Linda B. and others told her I was a “Nordic” while she was trying to find my camp site. What was meant was that I (and others) would be giving workshops on Nordic religions like the Asatru faith of the Medieval Vikings. True story. MUFON determined that I "was probably not a Space Alien living among humans".

We're not that highly evolved. Chimpanzees have better short term memories and dolphins are better swimmers. We also don't have wings...
Anyway, I don't know why we aren't more different from other animals. The ability to perform photosynthesis would have been nice.

You truly failed biology...hate to tell you this but only a small portion of the human population has even similar skull shapes to primates...the rest aren't even close...you should quit looking at the pictures and actually read...

Because, even if he claims so, god is not perfect. Look at the world: floods, tsunami, hurricanes... and who´s fault is it? Sin?
Yeah right, those who cannot dance blame the floor.
He used the same template for everithing. Lazy bastard.
A lot of things start to make sense if you admit god to be imperfect.

Well it's clear that the guy isn't very creative. It's kinda ironic when you think about it, one would probably assume that the "creator" is the most creative one. Well, I say people who created the creator were more creative.

He was so bloody tired from creating the universe and the heavens, too tired.
