Whose life is better ????

life wasn't as commercialized then, as it is now. Back then, they worried about different things than we do today. Life expectancy was shorter, but I think that there wast so much 'stress' to life then - we have, and are making our lives more and more complicated and stressful by pressure from work, society (and ourselves) achieve a certain standard of life. I think I would prefer a less stressful life.

Life is not about advances in technology. It's about people. I think my grandfather had it better because he lived in an age when people knew how to love forever, love from afar, and live and die for love. Theirs was a world where a man's word was currency; that respect was not just an Aretha Franklin song but a real, tangible thing; and honor was worth dying for.

What of our world? People change lovers more often than they change underwear. Truth is relative and used for one's convenience. There isn't even honor among thieves. And "respect" is nothing but an American Idol audition staple.

I believe that our grand grand children will probably ask the same question ... instead of the ancient age people they will use us !

The morden people, because slavery and equality exists to a much greater extent than it did back then. Less people starve as well. In the western countries anyway.

Free to love who you want as well forced marriage back in those days and you had to follow the faimly/job/trades.

Life is what you make it no matter what the place in time. Our lives today are easier and technology has given us many time saving devices. We have made scientific advances to help us to live longer. However, life is more stressful and we often are considering the quantity of things not the quality.

They were better in subjective life( which is more important) and

now the life in the outer world seems to be better ( but of no real purpose)!

ancient age. because they live life simply and naturaly without hi technology. they have felt the simplicity of life. and i think they are more contented.

the present life is better...

because our forefathers worked hard to make it better...

now a days there are good girls and boys around...

It is all good.

We just need to be smart enough to notice it.
