Is outlawing abortion fair for children of unfit parents?

Is it in the best interest of the child to ensure that they are born no matter what, despite having a mother who may be addicted to drugs, have birth defects, too poor to have the child, or other detrimental factors?

If you are anti-abortion, would you be OK with using your taxes to pay for a child through welfare that would have been aborted under current laws?

Update:

What I have picked up on, is that these anti-choice people are actually anti-life as well.

They want to force women to have children when they are unfit BUT they don't give a damn about the child when it is ACTUALLY BORN.

"Have that kid, but when he is born into poverty or with severe birth defects, I don't want my taxes going to food, education, or healthcare for him/her"- Typical American Conservative

Kind of hipocritical isn't it?

Update 2:

Mandatory sterilization. LMAO. Read the constitution idiot.

What I really want to know is why unfit parent are allowed to keep having MORE children. There are too many stories about women having children taken from them and put into foster care, and then they go out and have more babies that they don't take care of. And then there are the men who have all those babies that they don't support.

MANDATORY STERILIZATION will take care of the abortion issue and the unfit parenting problem at the same time. Have one kid that you don't or can't take care of? Kid goes up for adoption and you get snipped. And the snippage applies for both women AND men who can't keep their pants on.

The better question is, if you're against abortion would you be okay with raising the child yourself?

It's not just about money, I child needs a structured environment with constant care, not to be left to the system. Some children are adopted by loving parents and have normal lives, others aren't.

you're so perfect. I completely agree. and then people gripe and ***** some gay couple in a loving, dedicated courting desirous to undertake babies and supply them with a loving, supportive, abode. people forget approximately that gay people come from in the present day relationships and don't prove in the present day, so why could a baby reared by utilising gays immediately finally end up gay? A supportive and loving abode ecosystem helps a guy or woman attain their finished ability, and if would not matter what the gender stability in that abode ecosystem is. i think of you will desire to end being a martyr on your mum and dad and pass out. enable them to take care of their own messes. And it does no longer be a foul ingredient if the mentally imbalanced between us have been sterilised.

I would adopt that child myself. Dozens if I have to. Life is better than death, no matter the case. And as to the birth defects as an excuse to abort children, why not kill people with cancer? They, PROBABLY won't cure cancer, tomorrow, or the next day, or the next. But they might.

  • You will open a Pandora's Box trying to decide the meanings of "fit" and "unfit." Poor, drug addicted mothers with birth defect-afflicted babies are not the ones having the abortions.

Ask a down syndrome child whether he or she wishes that they were dead, I bet they would punch your lights out. Some things do warrant aborting a child but everyone deserves a chance and children are not the kind of thing you put a price tag on.
