most babies and toddlers come off particular food and potatoes is a common one. It might be because of the regular consistentcy you give her, which is why she is off it. The same happened with my two boys.

My advice is give her other home made food. she can eat the food you eat as long as no salt, suger, spice and egg. This is because of her liver and allegeies. Also reduce the times you give her patatoes and this might help.

Someone said "shes allergic"..................you wouldnt know that for sure unless she was tested by a doctor.

Babies take intolerences to food and they can happen randomly and they can also grow out of them. An intolerence is not the same as an allergy at all. Take her to docs to make sure.

If she isnt allergic then dont give her them for a couple of weeks then try her with a few mouthfulls. You could keep trying that untill she doesnt bring them up. My baby done the exact same with some veggies but it wasnt an allergy. She is now 11 months and can eat them all again!

The person who said that potatoes arent for babies isnt right.

At 6 months a baby starts to lose their own iron supply and needs them topped up by a range of foods. Formula and the breast just doesnt keep up with it on its own.

Good luck and hope your little un is better soon!!

Is it just potatos? If so it could be an intolerance-what is added to the potatos-salt, butter, herbs etc-maybe there's something her body doesnt like?

May be worth being checked by doctor...I'd advise keeping a food diary of what she eats, when, if shes sick, when she's changed etc. That way doctor can see if there's a pattern.

She should be able to eat potatoes, and if she had been fine with them up until now, you may just need to avoid them. to say she is allergic to them is crazy until you know for sure. just with hold them from her diet for a few weeks, the reintroduce them very slowly and not while you are introducing anything else. Cut them into little pieces or mash lightly. no butter, milk,or spices , just plain.9 month olds sometimes have a hard time tolerating butter, and she should not be having cows milk . If milk needs added, use breastmilk or formula. You are right to feed her adult food in baby form. IMO kids with eating issues are the ones that are raised on canned baby food. omg I cant imagine a diet composed of stuff solely out of a jar that mom and dad dont eat..

Source(s): raised 4 healthy kids on breastmilk, goats milk and real food. Never had a jar of baby food in my house ever. they are now 33,30,16,13.

I t may not be the potatoes that she cant keep down it could be the filling like butter that you may put on it.

Try going to the doctor and see what they say about this.

But to me it seems perfectly normal mine had the odd things she couldnt keep in at that age.

In the mean time keep her away from potatoes or try serving them in different forms and shapes.

    Hope this helps

She may be allergic to them. Some people do become allergic to foods randomly. I know that my son did (he's now 12 and has food allergies to corn and nuts). Please take her to her pediatrician to get this checked on. In the meantime don't give her potatoes until the doctor sees her because the reaction could become more severe. Good luck!

speak to your health vistor about this but do you mix the potatoes with cows milk if you are mashing the pots then maybe its the cows milk making her sick or if you mix with formula then maybe trying to mix with follow on milk or if doing the lump thing with the potaoes maybe the lumps are to large and thats making your little girl sick

stop feeding her potatoes. she's allergic bring her to the doctor she's still young so to say she can eat anything is a strech. you should have her tested for her food allergies before giving her adult food
