What is the best way to lose baby weight?

I just had my 1st baby on Easter Sunday(3-23-08) via c-section. I would really apreciate any advise you all could give me on losing the baby weight. I do have a bit of weight to lose. I have an apointment with my doc in about 2 weeks. I want to wait until she says its ok to start to diet and or excersice, but I would really like some advise...Thanks in advance.

    One of the best things to start out with is cardio. Cardio will help you lose excess weight. Any kind of cardio excersize whether it's running, jogging, roller skating, bicycling, swimming or playing any sport is imperative. Because you have a new baby, you might not be able to reserve enough time to do some of these things. So, if you can find a couple dvd's that focus on cardio these will help you, unless you have a stationary bike or treadmill you can use. Jump roping is very good for cardio too. Then after a week of straight cardio routines, 3-5 days a week, insert some programs that help you tone up using light weights and high reps. Remember that you will not see results until you give a solid effort and work through the burn! Good luck.

    I gained so much weight with my son. He is now 11 months and he is my only child. I went to a Max Muscle Nutritionist. She gave me a meal plan that you can easily stick to. YOu get choices and it is all stuff you cook. Your whole family can eat it. In fact they should it is healthy. They trach you what a portion size is and how much of what you need to eat. I started out at 149 pounds and a size 14 and in 12 weeks I am down to 120 an in a SIZE 6. I highly recommend them. However, the only down side is it is expensive. They want you to buy lots of product and the nutritionist is expensive. Some advice if you choose them is to buy their protein powders and you should get a discount for being on the diet program. Don't spend a lot of money on pills etc... make sure to tell them you just had a baby and if you are breastfeeding. The diet isn't really a diet you get all the nutrition you need and should have. I talked to my doctor before I started their plans and he said that it is what people should be eating normally. You average 2 pounds a week in weight loss.

    To lose weight successfully,you should know the food that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT!!!

    Yes,it is really important.You should know the truth:

    1.Low Fat Foods DON\'T always WORK...

    2.Low Calorie Diets DON\'T always WORK...

    3.Low Carb Plans DON\'T always WORK...

    I followed the guide above and I lost 7 lbs in 11 days and then 30 lbs in less than a month.
