conditional green card spouse sponsored I130?

when does the 2 yrs begin ??? from marriage date or the approval of the i130 date !! example friend married 3 yrs soon wife will enter the USA green card will she be granted permanent status (undonditional ) or will it be conditional for 2 yrs .how does it really work , would appreciate input from actual people or former or present USCIS personell who are familiar with this complex and confusing process .... thank you SEMPER FI
