Atheist and christian debates?

Kirk and Ray said they were going to scientifically prove the existence of God and then Ray just went on to give variation after variation of the watchmaker argument.

Wait- was that the "scientific proof" of which they were referring?

I guess I shouldn't have expected anything else from a man who claims a banana proves God's existence.

And yes, all atheists are hot. It's a curse I deal with daily.

Honestly, I'm an atheist and I think Jesus sounds like an awesome guy. Somebody I wouldn't mind being friends with (if he weren't all against atheists, I mean). I just don't believe he was the son of God, because I believe there is no God. I also agree that all faiths have a right in this world. Especially if those faiths promote tolerance and understanding and love (like most do). But I don't think they have a right to pry into my life and beliefs and then try their hardest to change me. Personally, I don't believe I need to be prayed for, as I truly am a very happy person; I actually prefer the idea that life isn't a test...and I have no need nor want for "eternal life". I also don't like the idea of so many good people possibly going to hell for something trivial. I do appreciate the sentiment, however.

There are several ways in which religion is immoral. And I’m not talking about the behavior of the adherents, but in religions original precepts. These include:

* Presenting a false picture of the creation of the world to the young. Darwinian evolution is now firmly accepted by the scientific community.

* The doctrine of blood sacrifice.

* The doctrine of atonement. The crucifixion of a political prisoner makes-up for “sins” I’ve committed. Also for the wrongdoing of Adam & Eve,in which I had no part in.

* The belief in eternal reward or punishment.

* The imposition of impossible or difficult tasks. (eg: I can’t think about coveting my neighbors goods)

I think Kirk and Ray have not yet got what they deserve. Maybe stuck in a room with a tape player of Richard Dawkins playing repeatedly, tearing their arguments up...

All atheists hot? All that I've met!

I didn't really like this show. It allowed the Christians to present laughable arguments, and didn't give the Atheist enough time to give the full arguments. Basically, it is because the Christians can give a sermon, but the Atheists would need to give you a PhD in molecular biology to present why they are correct.

Freedom to believe: we have.

Freedom to show what we believe: we don´t have. Islam doesn´t stand any difference with their faith: or you follow or you are on the blacklist.

Now, I ask you: if you see somebody harming himself are you going to stay quiet or to help.

My bottom line is: to stop believing is a personal decision as the decision to stop drugs. If you don´t bother me with your faith and if you don´t want help, I will wait.
