Anyone agree KC made one heck of a deal for Jared Allen?

We got a first a 2 3rds. That should provide us with a Starting OT and G or C. Then one pick will be a bust. Plus at five if we get Gholsten we are in just as good of shape as if we had Allen. This could be a trade that will be talked about for awhile. Especially is Allen gets into trouble one more time. I love it can't wait to be at Arrowhead on Saturday now.

Yeah, I thought we'd get a 1st round and maybe a conditional 3rd or 4th round pick. Compared to what we would have gotten (Allen's middle finger as he sped out of town) if we would have let him test free agency it's great. It was a great deal, but that won't change the fact that we won't be a very good team next year.

Yup, I agree completely. We needed a good DE though, a strong pass rush is just what this team was missing, and we wouldn't have gotten one of the more touted DEs with the 17th overall. Hope you use those picks wisely. Only time will tell if Allen has really changed his ways or not, but I can't see our owner having gotten him without believing without a reasonable doubt that he's done drinking and driving.

Yeah, but losing Allen may be worth more than what you get.

You guys can get a lineman, and posssibly a QB or CB. But Allan was an excellent player, he led the defense, and you now have no franchise player on defense, since Law is going.

This may be a good deal or a rip, depending on how good your new prospects do and how Allan does in Minnesota.

Yup great trade by both teams. The Vikings got the sack leader and best DE in the league. The Chiefs get the awesome picks they needed to rebuild. Awesome!!!!!

Now the Vikes have three pro bowl starters in one line. think of the possibilities!!!

Allen is a proven NFL star. You don't know for sure if Gholsten or other picks will be any good in the NFL. Good deal for the Vikes.

this is quite a streal for kc,allen has a lot of upside but he is only one player and gholston would easily replace him at his position, the vikes needed a defensive end badly but there is a lot of risk now and kc has all those picks !

watch out for the vikings this yr... the chiefs r in rebuliding and the vikes arent really in need of rebuilding.. vikes have a awesome offensive line and now they may have the best D-line in the league

i am a Packer fan and i am glad cause Minnesota is still without a reliable go to guy WR now that they gave up their 1st Round pick. Allen is bound to get into more trouble, it is the players nature to do that in Minnesota. thank you KC for giving us a hand. ; )
