Is it too early to send out the invitations?

Send them now, people will appreciate the extra notice.

EDIT: Just been reading what some are saying, 4 -6 weeks before the wedding is WAT TOO LATE! People don't have enough time to think about it then reply. People need A LOT OF NOTICE. You will be chasing up RSVPs two days before the wedding if left that late. Trust me, send them now and give people extra time.

10 weeks isn't too early. I think most people send out their invitations about six weeks before.

If they're already addessed and stamped it sounds like you're pretty excited about the wedding and if you want to send them out now, just do it!

Plus the more advanced notification people have of an event, the more chance there is of them being able to make arrangements to get there.

It is not too early to send out the invitations because it allows the guests time to make sure that they are going to be able to make it. Plus, I work at a hotel and we have reservations for weddings made 6 months in advance.

Send them now. Do you have a rsvp date on the invite? You should be asking them to RSVP you at least 3 weeks before the wedding date, to ensure you know the number of guests attending, because the week before the wedding you will be way too busy preparing for your big day.

Trust me, send them out now. My bf sent out her invites on 4/1, she sent out almost 60, only 2 people have received them. The post office is doing nothing for her. So make sure you send them early in case of problems

I would send them now we waited till 6 weeks before and the due date was last Friday to get them back and we still don't have some of the responses the longer ppl have the more you may get back in time good luck

Definitely send them out now. We sent our invites out 3 months before the big day so it gives people plenty of time to save the date. Go for it and good luck!! x

Don't ruin the excitement that you have in you, just because of other peoples opinion and beliefs.

If you really want to send them now why not?

The early the notice the better , for your friends, relatives, neighbours, office mates and everybody to know when , where, who is the lucky guy and what to wear on that special day of yours for sure they were all looking forward for that they that somebody will bring you the isle.

I reckon that you shopuld send them out now. It gives people more time to plan around your special day. If you leave it too late you will find that some peopl are busy already and you will regret not sending them out earlier. Congratulations on your engagement by the way!
