Is Apocolyptica very loud in concert?
Hi,
I'd like to take my nearly 11 year old son to see Apocolyptica in a small club venue. This is a Finnish Band that plays heavy metal on Cellos. Son loves heavy metal, but is taking good care of his ears.

I love the band, but don't feel it is appropriate for an 11 year old to go to their concert.
Any heavy metal is going to be loud.
Just take some earplugs if all you are worried about are his ears.

even unamplified...chamber music can be very loud.....
and the bass can go right to your bone.
now.... add in that we are talking about amplified cellos...Playing METAL....yeah..... loud.
A set of cheap earplugs might do it..... but also just sitting BACK a fair distance might be fine.
The dowmside to earplugs is it mutes certain notes...and gives a detached feel to the sound... which can make the concert less enjoyable.
It's a tough balance to walk...but I hope you and your son enjoy!

Take a guess. haha...if it's a small venue definitly get him some earplugs, I always wear them when I go, it's a good idea for everybody.
