When Adam and Eve were living for 800 years or whatnot, when did they hit puberty, menopause (for Eve), etc?

Puberty would not be affected by the length of their life, I think, but menopause is another story.

I asked a question about why did God give us hot flashes once and I got an answer, "Menopause is punishment for sin."?

Obviously god waited to smite Eve with that one until after she gave birth 20 times.

I've often wondered about Adam and Eve's Age as well.

For example, while living in Eden and then later in "The Fertile Cresent", there shouldn't have been a big climate change in the "seasons". So how would they have known "a year" had passed.

My first thought is that perhaps they took notice of the cycles of The Moon. Then each cycle of the moon, might have been considered "a year". If that is the case, then living to be 800+ "years old" would have really only been to the ripe old age of 66 years old (800 / 12 = 66.666666).

I don't know though. I mean the Bible does say "years", but it makes you wonder how Adam and Eve kept track of it.

I trust this is a serious question, requesting a serious answer.

There is no indication that they were fully formed as adults capable of bearing children.

Also, menopause is a biological phase and not dependent upon having had sex.

My personal beliefs (not backed by any scripture) is that Adam and Eve were very much children, possibly even prepubescent.

One could consider the forbidden fruit to be symbolic of Eve's coming of age and maybe it was. There are several works and stories in the Bible that can be taken in that manner.

Even the old tale of Pandora's box can be viewed of the young girl coming of age and the opening of the box, her virginity lost.

Job is symbolic for a man's life from being an infant to old age.

Regardless, we likely do not understand time as it was recorded in Genesis. Moses wrote the material (largely) from oral traditions, so who knows? Maybe a year was like a month to us.

Edit: I see that I'm not the only one who was thinking that maybe a month (lunar) equalled a year. (Approx. 13 lunar cycles in a year equals around 61 years old for 800 "years.")

Well, they hit puberty around 120-130. Got their driver's license at 160. Eve hit menopause around 490-520. It wasn't pretty.

They were created as adults. I suppose Eve hit menopause somewhere around 500.

Adam had ED for the last 400 or so years.

The days in Eden were all too fleeting, life on earth must have seemed an eternity in comparison.

AT 170. They were very wild couple. look, the kids are all over the Earth now. Only 530 years later
