Is this true?
This is my third pregnancy and a few people have told me that i might have a quick delivery because my body knows what to do now, i'm now 37 wks and my doc says i could go as early as next week but i'm not ready my due date is the 20th of may i want to go around the 14 or after, what should i not do so i don't go next week.
Let me add that with my second son i went past my due date and i had to be induced so babies don't always come on there own, it's just i never heard of a baby coming quicker because you have had other children, but thanks anyway for your thoughts.

There really isn't anything you can do. Your little one will make an appearance when he or she is ready, regardless of whether or not you are.

Everyone is different. I was 1 week late with my first and induced a couple days early for each baby following.
my hours of labor were as follows:
1st baby - 4 1/2
2nd - 1 1/2
3rd - 5 1/2
4th - 4 hours
5th - hopefully quick!! (but not too quick, need to make it to the hospital first!)
I think that every pregnancy can be different. Not to worry.

that is not neccesarily true
ive had 4
so here's my experience so that you can get an idea from experience.....
my first baby i had 10 days before my due date (38.5 weeks)
I had her 7 hours after I got to the hosiptal
(when I got there I was 3 cm dilated and my water had already broken during back labor)
my second baby I had at 36.5 weeks because my water broke......I wasnt even having contractions but they did end up inducing me at the hospital...
I think I was in labor with her about 6 hours....maybe a little more or less
my third baby I had the day before my due date
when I got to the hospital I think I was 3 cm dilated or 4 possibly....
I think I was in labor for about 6 hours or so with her too
but,I do remember that once I got to 4 cm it wasnt but like an hour later that I was at 10!
I went in labor with my 4th baby 9 days before my due date (almost 39 weeks)
I got to the hospital around 6 or 7 p.m
I was 3 cm dilated....like 30 minutes later I was 4 cm
I had her about 6 or 7 hours later
so I guess all of my labors were around 6 or 7 hours from the time I got to the hospital....
and you can have that baby at anytime
early,ontime,or late....
as for things to try and stop it from happening
I would say to not do he things that they say brings it on
such as, don't have sex
don't walk a lot
don't have orgasms
don't stimulate your nipples
don't eat spicy foods
but,if that baby REALLY want to come
he/she will regardless......
hope this helps
:O)

Your labor and delivery may be quicker. But sweetie there is nothing you can do to avoid it. If the baby wants to come the baby is going to come.

You can't control when your body goes into labor. Just appreciate what it does naturally and let what happens happen.

you need to let things happen dont try to find ways to stop going into labor, thats crap you need to just wait it out and you go when you go! good luck and congrats

Don't think theres anything you can do do change it. I'm sure you'll be fine, you know what to do, you have to other little ones!
