Did Earths' rotation speed up during the great flood? Due to increased water level?

Since the flood didn't happen, it really doesn't matter. However, the rotation of the earth has been slowing down for the last several billion years.

Hypothetically, if there was a global flood, it would not have changed the rotational speed of the earth as the earth's mass would have stayed the same - unless god created the water and the decreated it after it dried out.

i dont believe that Noah was a real person but it is deffinatly debatable and im pretty sure that the earth's rotations was not affected by the great flood. i mean yes there was a lot of water, but no more than usual, with ice caps melting now and floods happening around the world not to mention the sunamis and hurricanes we have been getting, the rotation would have increased or decreased by now if it had ever happened during the flood.

No, the earth rotation actually slowed down because all that water was sloshing around on the surface of it, slowing down the spin. That lead to a water-world, that removed chapter in the Biblical canon was later re dramatized by Kevin Costner. Anyway after water world all that water dried and the animals weighing millions of tons were unloaded from a wooden boat driven by a octogenarian.

Oh sure, and the Great Flood is also how the city of Atlantis went underwater, and the Earth's rotation speeing is why Odyssius took 10 years to get back home.

if anything, the increased tidal effect would slow the Earth down a bit, which is what's been steadily happening for the last several billion years. Annular rings in some fossils suggest the Earth's rotation was much faster in the past, or was much farther away from the sun than it is today.

Tidal drag is slowing the Earth's rotation, but there was never a global flood, so it is moot point.

Because those animals were indigenous to the region and wouldn't have survived in China. Also, kind of hard to get to China from that region if you look at it from that map! They re-populated that region once the flood waters dried out. Obviously, God intended for those animals to stay there.

nope because the flood wouldnt change the mass of the earth enough, the water just flowed over land, but there was just as much mass there fore gravity will have the same effect
