Men: Is it okay or tactless if a woman who has a crushed on you will ask you if you are GAY?

You are so, so, right. there is no way should she ask him if hes gay. its extremely tactless, rude and offensive. i would hate it. it would make me feel like my manliness was being called into question and i would be very insulted. i think she would be much better off just to spend time with him and observe the way he interacts. she should be able to pick up the vibes to tell whether hes into girls (and particularly her) or not.

The best policy is to ask him straight out if he is homosexual. You can say: May I ask you a personal question? Chances are that he is going to say yes. At that point, you ask him: Are you gay? If he asks why do you want to know, you can tell him: Because I have feelings for you.

In this day and age there is no reason to beat around the bush. I thought women were liberated enough to ask these types of questions. Why should you torture yourself with conjectures and doubts? If he is gay just get over him. If not just wait for his reaction. If the response is positive go on from there. If not forget about him. There are plenty of fish in the sea. Don't be shy! Just do it!

hmm...good question. im a girl and i know you asked men, but i wanted to give you the girl side of it. if i asked a guy that, it could mean multiple things:

1. he looked gay

2. i didnt want to waste my time

3. just curiosity

4. he acted more feminine

personally, i wouldn't ask someone that straight off the bat, especially if i didnt know them on a personal level so IF i ever asked someone if he was gay, my reasoning would probably be because of #2 and #4.

I think that it would really offend the man and push him away from you. Get to know the man first before you try a bold question like that.

Don't take it personal. Who knows, maybe you just have more style than she's used to seeing, take it as a compliment, lol.

If she has a crush on you, I don't see what the problem is. She's just making sure so that she doesn't make a fool out of herself and waste her time pursuing you.

Well I would think that if she came armed with an explanation as to why she's asking, no, I don't think it would offend. But if she tells him that she's asking because that's the rumor, or, that because he acts that way. Yes, he'll be pissed.

No if you are asked this there must be a reason I would try to find out if you dint already know
