Does anyone know?
I am curious. Does anyone know when the cervix actually closes after conception. I have been told that it is sometime between 6 and 8 weeks pregnant. I am currently 6 weeks pregnant. My boyfriend says that during sex he can feel the cervix and mine has already begun to change. I was just wondering what if anything anyone knows about this. I would appreciate any help! Thanks! :)
Actually, his mother is a midwife and has taught him a great deal. He didnt just feel the changes during sex, but also checked using what he has been taught and knows. Sorry for the confusion, that must have disappeared from my previous question. He is a very intelligent man and does have a great deal of knowledge from growing up with a midwife for a mom!

Wow he must have a big penis, if he can feel your cervix.
Normally men can get no where near it, as it is tucked right up there, so it doesn't get damaged.
Cervix need to close very soon to stop any infections or other nasties getting up in there are hurting your baby.
In my non professional opinion i have always thought it closes about a day or two after conceiving maybe even earlier.
if your worried contact your doctor. Try different positions if its bothering him, we purchased a lovely little karma sutra book that helped us discover new ways when pregnant.

I don't see how your boyfriend can tell if your cervix is open or not by the tip of his penis!
Get the midwife to check you out, it shouldn't be open at all.

your boyfriend either has the smartest and most sensitive penis in the world, or he has no idea what he's talking about and just wants to impress you with his ability to identify with you during your pregnancy. Most woman cannot even feel the changes in their cervix because the change is so slight...similar to the change your cervix goes through each month while not pregnant.
Your doctor will let you know what's going on.
