baby movements at 18 weeks?

im 18 weeks pregnant and have been feeling movements for a few weeks, but now i can actually feel them from the outside of my belly now, does it seem a little early for that? and they arent just little movements either, its very noticable and some of the kicks are quite strong. is that normal?

Oh wow, the best feeling in the world. I personally loved every single kick I felt, for the whole pregnancy. From my experience, that's perfectly normal. As a rule of thumb, you feel the movements earlier in second and subsequent pregnancies.

    Good luck,

The movements are normal, also the bowels will create a more noticeable activity when the abdominal cavity is getting fuller!! You will start to notice periods of activity and slumber at this point but if you feel you baby has not moved in a while call your doctor and change your behavior, if you were relaxing/get up and move around, if you were active sit down and relax, this will allow a change that may have been comforting the baby to sleep for an extended period of time!

Congratulations on your baby and enjoy the wonderful movements and learning your babies personality before they are even born!!!!

    Nope. Totally normal.

Most women begin feeling movement anywhere between 16- 20 weeks, so you're right in the middle!

ya its normal for that time but once i got around to 24 weeks, which is just around the corner for u, i HATED being pregnant and it was like the process was slowing down....its wen they start rolling around instead of just kicking and no sleep or anything. I was so READY FOR LABOR from 24 weeks on
