  • how can i stop thinking about this little boys tragic life?

i made the mistake of watching the peter connelly story on youtube, for those that don't know it this poor little boy was systematically tortured by his step father for 8 months, until he finally was murdered at 17 months old. i cant stop thinking about this poor little boy now...i keep crying and a few times i have rushed into my 1 year olds room in the middle of the night and woken him up just so i can cuddle. i don't ever want to forget this baby completely but im sending myself insane, i just wanna forget it for a little while...any advice anyone please!!!

  • Hard lump behind ear on skull?

I have had this lump for over 6 mths but it has just started to give me headaches, and I'm also getting dizzy sometimes when I'm sitting or laying down. The lump is rock hard and feels like its attached or is part of the bone. I have asked 2 Dr's who both said they don't know what it is, but it should go away, except it hasn't so I got a 3rd opinion today and she has sent me for an ultrasound on it tomorrow, unfortunately I cant have a CAT scan because I'm pregnant. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? The Dr today said she doesn't think its a swollen lymph node and that I should prepare for possible bad news. So now I'm scared it could be cancer. Any opinions would be gratefully received.

  • Australian cancer treatment options?

I'm looking for any sort of info on cancer treatment in Australia, especially in Queensland, and particularly lung cancer but any answers will do!

I would like to hear about any great oncologists. Also wondering what happens here if you don't have private health cover? Is it still possible to choose and pay for your own private specialists, and how much does that sort of thing cost?

Also wondering if there is an Australian support or social group where you can discuss cancer? I have only been able to find US ones so far.

    thanks

  • How often is a biopsy wrong?

About 3 months ago a tumor was found in my mums lung, we were told it was only small, and in that time it has only grown 1mm. we were told that because she had not lost any weight, everything looked good and she would probably just have to have it taken out and it was unlikely that she would need any further treatment. But then her biopsy results said that it is behaving like small cell cancer. Is it more likely that her Dr's are wrong or the biopsy? And what will happen if it is small cell cancer? Can she still have chemo or something?

    Thanks

  • difficult child in my sons class?

my son is 6 and there is another boy in his class who is a big bully. im very friendly wiht most of the other mums and every day our kids are coming home from school saying that this child has been punching and kicking them adn even stealing there lunch. they are also missing out on the teachers attention alot of the time as she is so busy trying to control him. we are all very aware that this child gets absolutely no disipline at home.

yesterday one of the mums was helping in the class and this child punched her 17 month old baby in the face. he was finally suspended for 2 days, but now his mother is abusing the helper mum for telling the principal about the incident.

ok sorry for the long story but does anyone know if there is a way we can get this child removed from our school? this has been going on for a year and a half and its not getting any better! we are tired of our children being bullied!

  • old cat losing weight rapidly?

i have a 15 year old cat who used to be huge. the last year or so he has been losing weight, but even more so in the last 2 months. he still has a shiny healthy coat, bright eyes, doesnt seem to be in any pain, grooms himself constantly, and can still even catch mice or lizards. he doesnt seem lethargic, but he is eating heaps, i feed him meat several times a day plus he has all the dry food he can eat and he still keeps looking for food.

does anybody have any idea why he would be losing so much weight?
