Try using borax, apparently it is supposed to work for ants. Mix a bit with a tsp. of sugar. The ants carry it back into the nest. Thus killing the Queen too.

Remember, in order for the act to become a "greater sin" you must have clearly known it was wrong and did it to mock the Lord. Truthfully, at age 7 i don't think the above is possible, you were probably carrying-on with the other children and wanted to fit-in etc... Sometimes, insects can be a real problem and even as adult Christians we use bug spray or even a fly swatter. The idea is not to make the irritating insect suffer while enjoying what you are doing. equal parts of borax and sugar(or honey) melt it over a flame to make a honey like solution. The ants love it they will take it back to the nest, also borax will not harm any other animals. just leave a few shallow plates of the solution around the nest, at first the ants will swarm to it then disappear.

Baby powder works. I don't know how but it did for me (a friend told me to use it). Pour baby powder all over the mound until it is comepletely covered & then some (make it look like a mound of baby powder). You can get a bottle of baby powder @ the dollar store for $1.

It is an ongoing problem in FL.

Hot water. Make sure that you won't kill the surrounding plants by spilling on them or getting their roots.

borax- not only will it kill them, it will also torment them emotionally by killing their whole family
