Is 32950%. Is that good?

I have the opportunity to buy a '92 Montero for $1000. It is currently in South Carolina, I'm in NY, so there are some logistics involved. I have already had a friend down there check it out and drive it. It is a V6 5 spd 4wd with no rust or dents. It runs & drives good, but has 200k miles on it. How many miles are they good for? Maintenance records are included with it. Living in the rust belt makes finding decent used vehicles difficult, and rust-free ones are at a premium. It would be my winter vehicle, and would only see about 5 or 6k miles a year for the rest of its life. I can have it shipped for $500, or buy a one way plane ticket and drive it home, about 800 miles. What is your opinion of these vehicles? I'm unfamiliar with them. Thanx for any input

Every few weeks, when I check the oil, there is slightly more than last time. 2 weeks ago, I changed it, put in 4.5 qts instead of 5, and today it is over full by 1/2 qt. And it is extremely clean, almost hard to see on the dipstick. Could it be the fuel pump? The oil doesnt smell gassy.

It seems like the gas engine must have to be running to get any heat, making them less economical than one would think.

While remodeling an old farmhouse, I found one inside a wall cavity. It is in good condition, has nice engraving, and has Damascus or twist steel barrels. it is a 12 ga double barrel, breech. is it worth anything aside from a wall hanger?

are they all that way, or is something wrong? I have one for a winter vehicle, runs & drives perfect, 89k miles, gas pedal might as well be a switch. 15 mpg on a good day, pulling a snowmobile trailer is a chore for it. doesnt foul plugs, burn oil, or miss a beat. just gutless. my '94 2.4 litre toyota pu has twice as much power. WTF???

How long can they reasonably be expected to last? I have a 94 with 240k on it. Oil changed every 3k since new, timing chain & oil pump last year. Only uses 1 pint of oil between changes, no leaks. Id like to get 2 more yrs out of it.

by cutting it in half and counting the rings?

since spay/neuter programs dont seem to be working, wouldnt raising the value of pelts cure overpopulation? perhaps a bounty?
