If you are atheist what is your thought on life after death?

Not an atheist, but I couldn't resist answering...

Your body decomposes into the soil, then a tree grows in the soil, which then gets cut down to make paper & then the Bible is printed on it. :D

No offense, that's one of my favorite jokes from him.

As an atheist, I don't think there is "life after death". To try and imagine this non-existence, think how it was before you were born. It should be similar to that after death.

To quote Epicurus," Death is nothing to us; for that which is dissolved, is without sensation, and that which lacks sensation is nothing to us." Something is sort of lost in translation, this is a 2300 year old writing after all, but you get the picture...

You die, and that's it. Hell would be existing for eternity, regardless of where you spent it. Seriously, it might be ok for the first million or so years but after that, there is only eternal boredom waiting.

The same as life before birth - non-existence

You've got it backwards. Life comes BEFORE death. In fact, you're probably alive right now. When that stops, you'll be dead.

I hold that we can never know so it is an irrelevant question. I personally am inclined to think that we cease to perceive. Like eternal slumber.

There is no life after death. I don't speak for all atheists, though.

Get eaten by the maggots or turned into ashes or become fish food. That is about it.
