Hell is "Eternal Separation from God", in it's simplest explanation. Even here on Earth, with all the evil and chaotic 'ways' of the world, we are still not separated from God. We can pray and He will hear our prayers. He can reach across the void.

Hell is something that awaits some of us in the afterlife.

Why would One God sanction several different religions, especially when you consider the fact there are many contradicting beliefs between them?

The Truth is, there is only One Church. All the other religions embody some elements of Truth, but only the One True Church can boast the Fullness of Revealed Truth.

You are still Catholic, but have you fallen away? It is hard to understand what you're trying to say.

Hell is not here on earth. Hell is a separate place and it is for the damned. It is reserved for those who knowingly and completely reject God. You won't see any babies or butterflies in hell as we have here on earth.

Personally I think your relationship with God is between you and God.

What other people think doesn't matter......you should do what feels right for you.

I think that sounds Catholic...however, there are other standards for being Catholic. Talk to a priest or other authority if you are unsure.
