Attn: People of New Zealand!!!: Do people from New Zealand generally dislike Americans?

What are the stereotypes that kiwis hold about Americans? dIs it difficult for an American to assimilate when moving to New Zealand? Thanks in advance for your help!

Update:

Also, if anyone happens to know, how painful is the immigration process to move there?

Only if they use too many exclamation marks.

No, you'll be all right here. There are heaps of Americans living here, and they fit right in. NZ is actually not that different, mentality-wise.

    Immigration:

It's a walk in the park by comparison with the process immigrants in the US have to go through. I know, because I tried, and failed. Well, no damage done. I'd rather be here now anyway.

    Good Luck!

They don't like Americans but they sure love their sheep. A quite unhealthy situation.
