My boyfriend has mono..?
He just stopped throwing up and the pain in his head and neck has gotten better and the fever is gone, but he is still feeling very crappy.. body aches all over.. the mono is still in full swing. Well he has only had it about a week now and tonight I was with him and we were kissing (i wasnt thinking). What do you think the odds of my getting it are?? And how long until I would know if I got it or not??

yes you can get it. mono is a very hard thing to recover from and it's highly contagious. he can feel like he's getting better and have a "relapse" and have to recover again. it takes a LOT of rest, and water to get over it. just hope you don't get it because it's brutal.

It relies upon.. as quickly as I had mono my boyfriend in no way have been given it, and merely such as you I felt ill for a pair days earlier i found out it became into mono. besides the undeniable fact that, my buddy did get mono from sharing a drink with me. From what I keep in mind examining approximately mono, even once you're greater ideal you carry it nevertheless so there is an probability to bypass it to somebody else even afterwards. and you have already got the mono virus so which you would be able to not seize it back and maximum probable won't sense ill from it back, yet I say merely kiss him as quickly as your greater ideal! If he gets it he gets it yet you may not in no way kiss him back!

You very well might have it. Or you might have caught the virus that causes mono but may not develop any of the symptoms that your boyfriend has now. Epstein-barr (the virus) stays with you even after you're not sick anymore, you're just a carrier and probably won't show symptoms of it again. You'll know within 1-2 months if you have it too. But no more kissing and wash your hands often when you're at his house and after!

My doctor had told me that it's actually uncommon for both partners in a relationship to get mono from each other.
