I believe although I am not a lawyer or legally trained that if you can prove you can look after yourself it is legal for you to move out. Now you say you want to move into your own flat do you have a job and how will you pay all your bills etc.
As regards your 14 year old girlfriend I dont think so as she is under the age of consent. Also dont even think about having sex as you would be breaking the law and technically even if she is willing you could be charged with either rape or interfering with a minor.
I think you need some more time to grow up get on with your studies etc. Also do her parents know what you are thinking of doing. Let your girlfriend enjoy her time as a schoolgirl and finish her education. Believe me you are both too young to make this kind of commitment and I got engaged at 16 and married at 18 which is far too young. If I had my time again I wouldnt do it. I am now divorced please wait for both your sakes. If it is meant to be it is meant to be just have some fun first.

Nope, you will still be considered a run away. At 17 you can leave home and are considered an adult, but you have to be in school or have a GED until you are 18. As for the person below me who stated that he could end up a sex offender is WRONG!! The legal age to consent to sex in Texas is 14. If your partner is no more than 36 months older than you it is completely legal. 16 and 17 is only upto 12 months, so you wont have to worry about that!!!

Under 16: You cannot leave home and a parent or carer can’t make you leave.
Age 16/17: You cannot leave home or care without permission but if you do the police may not take you back. Your parents are responsible for you to age 18. If they don’t look after you properly, social and health care and the local housing authority may help. You may be able to claim benefits, or receive help from social and health care if you have a care history. If you are in care and run away the police will bring you back. Social and health care (formerly social services) will call a meeting to find out why you left home without permission and try to find a solution.
Age 18: You can leave home without parental consent. You can hold a tenancy and buy a house or flat. You can also remain with your carers if they agree.

16 - yes, 14 - no
Young people under 16 cannot leave home unless their parents agree.
Alternatively a court may make a residence order in favour of another adult if this is deemed to be in the child’s best interests. This can be done on the adult’s application or by the child if he or she is deemed to have sufficient understanding. The law relating to 16 to 17 year olds is not clear but it appears that they probably can leave home without parental consent. However, parents can apply to court for the return home of a child under 18 by seeking an injunction in wardship proceedings or a residence order. A court is unlikely to order the return of a child of 16 to 17 to return home against his or her wishes if the court can be satisfied that he or she is safe and that there is a clear breakdown of the family relationship.

Im not sure bout Britain, but in america at 16 you need to get yourself imancipated. That is where you show a judge that you can take care of yourself, and then the judge will make you a legal adult. I dont think your GF could come live with you though, but that does sound like it would be fun lol.

Yes, you can move out, although you still have to have someone sign your tenancy agreements on your behalf so you either have to give yourself up to the state (i.e. become a ward of court) and have your local authority sign for you or get your parents/guardian to do so.
Your 14 year old gf won't be able to come and live with you just like that unless her parents agree because she is just a child and if they don't agree, you could be prosecuted for various things.

Its funny because legally you can leave home. But at 16 you cannot legally sign a contract. Basically it means that the only way you can leave home is to live with someone else. YOu cannot rent somewhere of your own.

You are too young to sign a legal contract. So you would be unable to sign a lease. You would need a cosigner but as a landlord I would not rent to an underage individual.

Better think long and hard on that one........it's not all fun . You have to work to pay for EVERYTHING. Your parents may not let you move back so you better be sure before you leave. I think you have to be 18, or at least in USA you do.

Legally you can. She cannot as she's underage!! Anyway, how will you afford a house in the UK!!?!?!? I'm 25 and I still can't get my own place :s
