Dry skin and bumps on legs and arms?

I have really dry skin on my arms and my legs. Mt elbows and knees have little rough bumps on them. The skin on my legs is so dry and you can see little "cracks" of skin that is lighter than my real skin color. They are like thin lines. And the bumpy skin is really annoying. How can I get rid of these and the dry skin? Maybe a remedy? Anything that will make both go away fast, but if not fast, at least affectively?

Thanks!

Definietly get, "Palmers Cocoa Butter for very dry skin." it will smooth out the dry bits!

For the broken skin do not put any products on it that say "do not put on broken skin" as it will make it worse. I know that sounds stupid but its an honest mistake not to read things in great detail - i do it too.

E45 is also a highly effective cream, and so is Sudocream.

I think anything that is especially for dry skin will be effective!

After getting out the bath or the shower your body will have lost most moisture so immedietly moisturize. (put the "palmers cocoa butter" on the dry bits. It will clear up in about a week depending on how severe it is but you must apply it everday.

I'd get some "Savlon Antiseptic Cream" for this broken skin...i dont think anything else would work well and this cream is good for all injuries (i used it when i fell and took a layer of skin off). So yes i would get that savlon cream!

Dry skin can come for a number of reasons.... your skin is just lacking moisture. Do you live in a hot country? Has the weather been very hot? This would probably dry out your skin so if the weather is hot then always wear sun cream/sun block (especially on the parts that tend to become dry).

At any time if your face becomes dry then use "Oilaturm Natural Repair Face Cream" It is wonderful! I get eczema all over my face and dry skin on my arms and legs and i put the oilatum all over even though it says its just for the face - and it works!

If your situation becomes worse then go and see your GP/dermatoligist straigth away!

If your looking for a super effective (and quite expensive) remedy then go to your local makeup counter where they have clarins..clinique..dior..chanel ect and show them your condition. You must show them the dry parts, the people at the counter might recommend medicated cream but they will probably have some effective stuff for you!

Do you have asthma? Or allergies? You might possibly have eczema which is just a "very dry skin" condition. I went to see my GP about this and was prescribed a very effective cream which i use with normal moisturizers as well. E45 again is good for eczema. If your dry skin is allergy related because of asthma, hayfever or any other allergies then try taking a "pirition" for a couple of days. Its for any allergies including skin allergies and it might clear your skin up. Ask someone at the pharmacy or local shop.

Theres plenty things for dry skin out there! And your not alone because i have it too!

    Good luck.!

PS: someone mentioned it might be keratosis pilaris. i have keratosis pilaris and it might possibly be that but it doesnt always look dry, look at this website for info on this website about it:

That sounds like keratosis pilaris. If your skin is really dry, the little hairs on your arms and legs get trapped under the dead skin--which causes the bumps you describe. It's especially prevalent in the winter.

Just use lots of moisturizer after showering, it will help.

You really need to read "Banish My Bumps" by Angela Steinberg (also available in electronic format here: http://www.banishbumps.com/ ). It's about how to permanently cure your Keratosis Pilaris naturally. I was able to clear my skin in only 7 days after reading this.

Stop paying paying each month good money on creams. This is exactly what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to do! They want to milk money from you each month.

Typically, skin conditions such as eczema have to do with poor dieting. Learn here https://tr.im/uYf1E

Eczema food triggers such as eggs, fish, peanuts, and soy are known to help reduce flare-ups, but this can vary from person to person. These foods may also exacerbate eczema because many people cannot properly digest the proteins, which causes an allergic reaction.
