I have a 95 Ford Ranger 4x4 V6 4.0. The problem is the engine is idle rough. No power from starting til 15 m

I have changed spark plug wires, spark plugs. The manual saids to look for vacuum leaks, I don't find any. cleaned air filter. Could it be the timing gear is worn? Or better yet, give the engine a compression test. Not burning oil, it's got 250,000 miles. Got any suggestions?

    Sounds like you need to replace the fuel filter.......

    Try changing coolant temperature sensor. When engine is cool, it determines how much fuel to inject. May be malfunctioning.
