Can McCain break the streak?
In the history of US politics, and I mean back to George Washington, the candidate who spent the most money in the general election has won. Without exception. Obama is going to outspend McCain. Can McCain break the streak?

Well at the same time, can Obama or Clinton break the streak of every President being a white, male?

McCain is a bit self defeating in his stance on not taking money from large, corrupt donors and Obama has no such qualms. People seem mad at Bush mainly and don't support the Democrats, ie, they're against Bush; not for the Democrats. McCain is an outsider and many do not consider him to be a real Republican but an Independent using the party name for credibility (kind of like Ron Paul in that sense). He has been a royal pain in the butt to President Bush so I doubt greatly that the anti-Bush anger will be directed at him. In addition, Obama is a divider and McCain, while not a uniter, is also not a divider. In the end, it looks more and more like there is a pending McCain near landslide of about 3-4% separation between him and Obama (much like Bush had vs Kerry) in the coming election. The real question is, which secretary will Lieberman be?

Senator Obama has spent almost nothing in the "general" election, since most of what he has spent was to squeek past Hillary. He is also lucky that Florida and Michigan won't have a voice in the nomination.
Will he have enough money left over to campaign against Senator McCain following the convention?

Mc Cain has all his Republican cronies and lobbyists money so money will not be the problem and wil get free air time through media outlets...that do not support the Dems or Obama
He will simply lose because he is so boring and when he talks puts listeners to sleep...they Will still be asleep on Nov
voting day....so Dems will win by default
(grin)
Do not know why they just don't concede right now and save us from all the BS same old same old political games that Bush jumped into in a far away land....

McCain will lose because who is going to vote for a man for President with all of it's pressures who has by his own admission cracked under pressure.
