Which Church is the way to salvation?

many churches claim that there is no salvation outside thier paticular faith (Catholic, Mormon, JW) all cannot be right ...all have differing doctrines. Which church is the only path to heaven?

or is it not a CHURCH? then what is the way?

Update:

“If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the

restoration, there would be no salvation.

There is no salvation outside

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day

Saints.”

No church or religion is the way to heaven. Jesus is the way to heaven.

Jesus said in John 14:6 - I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father, but through me.

In my opinion: No church is the way to salvation.

'For every man must work out his own salvation'

This is a private inner matter and extremely personal to each individual.

We've got to stop browbeating others to think or behave the way we do.

Sovereign dominion free-will choice is acknowledged by 'believers' and 'non-believers' and 'dis-believers' whereever you go, no matter how twisted the interpretations.

Forcing someone to think, behave a certain way has huge backlash consequences in all arenas. While many survive this type of 'lifestyle' (?) and what doesn't kill us may make us stronger, there is no compassionate love being extended in this type of an adversarial setting, regardless of what arena it takes place in. What good are labels if there are disastrous effects occurring from within them? It negates any 'goodness'. This Q is bigger than religion/spirituality. It goes to the core of our beings and how we move and live.

I will be still now. Lest I become of that which I write.

    Just my opinion.

Thanks for this Q and the others you've been asking lately :)

First of all, no church is the way to salvation.

I am a BAPTIST(obviously)lol, but I am not a Baptist because the Baptist Church is the "way to salvation".

"Christ said "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the father but by me."

Christ was not Methodist, BAPTIST, Lutherin, Presbitirian...

    Christ is the way.

NO Church has the way of salvation.

I believe that this is a major problem with many denominations today.

Thank you for your question. Have a nice day!

Most churches know and teach that Jesus Christ alone saves us. When a church says that there is no salvation outside of their particular church, they are stating that the saving action of Jesus Christ is accomplished within the structure of that church. The church is an instrument of salvation because Jesus Christ uses the church to accomplish His work in the world.

Saying that a church does not save you is stating that Jesus Christ is missing from the church.

    Jesus is the only way!

Perhaps there understanding of salvation is different than yours. If Mormons believe in 3 degrees of glory than they ought to know what it would take to get there. If you only believe in heaven or hell then your definition of salvation is different and what is entitled is different as well. For myself I would choose the salvation which would require faith. Simply saying "I am saved" just doesn't cut it. If it was that simple suffering wouldn't have occured on that cross. There is a consequence for our sins. Repentance is made whenever we transgress the laws of God. We don't receive salvation in one day. That's why we live a lifetime.

    Faith & Works

Historically Roman Catholicism has considered grace to be a power conveyed through the sacraments by which justification and sanctification are achieved. Thus faith and works go hand in hand.

The Protestants have more or less believed that the sinner upon belief in Christ activates grace, his sins are forgiven and he is justified. Works then follows the believer as a natural result of his redemption.

Although I can't speak authoritatively for the LDS Church, my understanding is as follows:

Salvation, in any of its capacities or levels, comes by grace, but judgment comes by works. These two principles are harmonious and complement each other. Judgment is not robbed by grace and grace is not nullified by judgment. The two go hand in hand. Grace is an important to the Latter-day Saint as it is to the Protestant or Catholic and it is certainly harmonious with what is taught in the scriptures.

Listed below are a number of scriptures that will help you understand this much-debated subject. It whould become apparent that the LDS understanding of the relationship between grace and works is not heretical.

  • Salvation does NOT come by way of a congregation or particular doctrine.

Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

Jesus also said: "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." (John 3:5)

Any claims to the contrary do nothing but detract from God's truth.

There will be some from all congregations that are members of God's Church, and there will be many from all congregations that are not. The faith one has their heart is as individual as their fingerprints.

There is only one way, God's way. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 KJV of the Bible.

"Greater love has no man this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13 NKJV

"Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust...NASB 1Peter 3:18

"Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." NKJV Matthew 11:28

But if ou are looking for a good Church you can go to, I would suggest you find any evengelical church near you. Shopping around isn't a bad idea.

    Salvation:

    Catholic

Lutheran (In my opinion, the most biblically acurate.)

    most Protestant churchs

Basicaly any church that believes that Jesus is true God and true Man (as well as their Savior and Lord) and believes in the trinity.

Salvation is not through the church but belief in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jehovah's Witnesses are the only religion that is different from all the others, we are not a part of this world ,just like Jesus said. All the other religions put together, believe in the Trinity. Hell place of torment, Immortality of the Soul, they go to war, celebrate pagan celebrations, participate in politics, believe that every good christian is going to heaven, and no one is going to live upon the earth etc.

Maybe you should ask God that question instead of Y!A.

I know that we receive salvation from Jesus Christ through His grace.
